Congratulations to NHS Fife for becoming the first Scottish Health Board in over 50 years to receive official university health board status. Granted by the Scottish Parliament, it recognises NHS Fife’s outstanding commitment to education, research & innovation & acknowledges it’s fruitful partnership with the University of St Andrews. The formal partnership between NHS Fife & St Andrews University allows the University to award it’s own medical qualifications following the development of a new 5 year medical degree programme which enables medical students to undertake all their clinical training and complete their primary medical qualification in Fife.
